Cooking Class--Week 2 part 2

This week in my Wednesday class, we made milk chocolate brownies and chocolate fondue. We dipped marshmallows, angel food cake, strawberries, grapes and bananas in our fondue and the kids really liked it. We tripled our brownie recipe and doubled the fondue recipe, so it we had plenty of practice with fractions. They did great.

I had to post this cute picture of Aiden too, what a smile!

On Thursday, we read "Cook-a-doodle-doo!" by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel and then we made our own strawberry shortcakes. The kids cracked eggs, stirred and scooped batter, sliced strawberries and whipped cream. The best part was they got to eat strawberry shortcake for lunch. They were super cute and we had a lot of fun.

Here's Amanda and Kaylee--they are both great little chefs! This week is cookie week so stay tuned for more cooking class fun :)
