Colby's GT Science Night!

Colby has been doing research for his GT science project for most of the year on the Tylosaurus. It's a marine reptile that lived in Nebraska during the Cretaceous Period. Tonight we met at Stalker Elementary and all of the kids in the GT program had the chance to present everything they've been working on. It was a great night, and it was fun to see all of the different projects, ideas and treats!

This is the 3-D model that Colby sculpted out of salt dough and painted. I think it looks very realistic--good job Colby :o)

Here's the whole table. Colby also made a Food Chain game (with the pictures) that you could put in order.

He passed out containers of Swedish Fish to represent what the Tylosaurus ate.

Here's another close up. We're really proud of Colby and how much he has progressed in GT this year. He's really grasped the concept of independent research and completing projects from start to finish.
