Colby The State Champion!

This last weekend we had the opportunity to take a little road trip to Boise.....because of Colby! He won first place in regionals for his invention of The Baby Proof DVD Case and he got to go on to the state competition. Much to his surprise, he won first place at state too! I about cried, I was so happy for him with that cute grin on his face from ear to ear!

Here's Colby's friend Hailey in front of her project, they are in the same class! Hailey's invention was a pocket x-ray in the adaptation category--it was cool!

Here are my two little stinkers playing in the museum! We had such a good time. Colby's award ceremony was definitely the highlight, but we also got to stay at the Hyatt, see Brett's sister Kim's family, go swimming twice, watch cable and eat at The Cheesecake Factory with the Pearson's! It was a nice little break from the ordinary. Good job Colby! He's got some time to come up with something great so we can go again next year!
